The Principal Technical Solutions Engineer plays a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining both internal and customer-facing applications within the organization’s technology platform. This position leads the full application lifecycle—from gathering requirements and creating project timelines, to development, user testing, and ongoing improvements based on feedback. The role works closely with operations and analytics teams to ensure seamless integration of application-managed data into IT workflows and reporting outputs. Additionally, the Principal Technical Solutions Engineer contributes to data visualization efforts and may support aspects of database management and architecture. This is a highly collaborative, solution-focused position that blends technical expertise with a strong understanding of business needs.

What you will do:

 

Application Development and Lifecycle Management:

  • Gather business and technical requirements to guide application design
  • Create and manage project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of application milestones
  • Develop, test, and iterate on internal and customer-facing applications based on user feedback

User Testing and Continuous Improvement:

  • Coordinate and manage user testing processes to ensure functionality and usability
  • Collect and analyze user feedback to drive improvements and feature enhancements
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset to evolve applications based on business needs

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Integration:

  • Partner with operations and analytics teams to align application workflows with business processes
  • Ensure application-generated data integrates smoothly with IT systems and analytics outputs
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency across teams

Data and Technical Support:

  • Support the creation of data visualizations and reporting outputs to enhance business insights
  • Collaborate on data architecture and database management efforts as needed
  • Contribute technical expertise to broader platform initiatives and solutions

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, InformationSystems, Engineering, or a related field is a plus; however, 5+ years of relevant professional experience is strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including:
    • Power Apps
    • Power BI
    • Azure Cloud Storage
  • 5+ years of experience in a technology-focused role within the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) industry
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and business processes
  • Extensive Power App development experience
  • Proficient in SQL coding and data manipulation
  • Hands-on experience with Power Query and Dataflows
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop applications and analytics solutions from the ground up
  • Experience overseeing and managing a portfolio of business applications and reporting tools
